Phoneography – Composition Techniques.

In this intro unit, you will be learing the basics of how to take some spectacular images using mobile technology. To start, you will learn some of the basic composition techniques.

Composition techniques are bascially rules that have been established that will help the photographer capture a great image. Although they say that rules are meant to be broken, it’s best to try to follow these ones until you feel that you are more established. Have a look below to learn more.

COOPH is a community-focused photography online mag that celebrates individualism, expression and sincerity. In combination with photographer Steve McCurry, they were able to create a short video that briefly explains each of these rules. Have a look below.

Adorama has also created a great webpage that explains each of the concepts as well.

Now that you have some understanding of the rules, let’s look at the specific ones we will be dealing with in this class in more detail.
