By using the certain focal points on your camera, you can obtain different results. Look at the two different images below. Same subjects. Same location. Same framing. Different results.
Practice Assignment
Although not formally evaluated, this practice assignment will get you comfortable with your camera’s autofocus settings.
- Set your camera to the aperture priority
- A on the dial at the top right
- Set your aperture to a low setting (something below f5.6)
- This is done by turning the dial on the top right of your camera until you see the value f5.6 on your screen
- Aperture will be explained in more detail later
